Trump Intelligence Community Split

My take is:  Just more fake news, but based on some underlying truths.

I am writing this because I had this same conversation with someone this weekend as well as seeing it several places on the nets.  Just a few minutes ago, I read this at Free North Carolina’s place.

I don’t believe the basic premise of the base article, the the CIA is anti-Trump or Anti-America. Mostly because it is an anonymous source.  In this day of Fake news, Named sources get credibility.  Anonymous sources should be treated as creative writing assignments.

Q. It seems the intel community has it in for Trump – is this your feeling?

A. There are many Trump supporters within the FBI.  The CIA, however,  is against Trump because Trump threatens to ruin their game in the middle east.

This shows a mindset that is typical of people who are not in fact “insiders”.  Anyone who talks about a government agency as if it is a human being, is wrong.  The CIA is not a monolithic organization.  The CIA doesn’t have an agenda.  They don’t have a “game”.  They don’t have motivations or goals.  They don’t get happy or sad.  The CIA is a government agency.  They are run by presidential appointed executives who tell the larger agency what the priorities are and that can change after every election.  There may be some layer of bureaucratic senior execs who are not political appointees (career civil service), who have been in the agency for decades, and who have fundamental agendas and biases of their own.  Those people have names.  They are not “The CIA”.  Those people can be fired.  They can retire.  They can get high paying jobs outside the agency.  and as they get replaced, the effective operation of the agency changes in the direction the replacements want.  This happens all the time in every government agency.  The CIA does not run like an episode of the Jason Bourne movies.

Q. Can you elaborate?

A. CIA and Mossad work in tandem with British intel.  The goal for the CIA was to replace Assad with a puppet and to topple Iran so we could access their oil.  Israel works closely with it’s “sister”, Saudi Arabia, to help this dark cause.

For a secret organization, Mossad sure does get a lot of credit.  If you see the name Mossad in the press, there is a 99.999% chance the story is fictional.   Why?  Because, just Like I said about the CIA, Mossad is a government organization.  they don’t have an independent agenda.  They work for the Israeli government, whoever that might be from one election to another.  It wasn’t the Goal of the CIA to topple Assad.  It was the goals of Hillary Clinton and John Kerry.  The CIA were tools to accomplish foreign policy.  The policy comes from people who are in charge. They have names.  Toppling Iran might be useful just because Iran are a bunch of assholes who really need to be toppled, but oil has NOTHING to do with it.  The fact that this is even mentioned is a clue to me that no real intelligence agent had anything to do with this story.  America has plenty of oil.  The ability of the free market to deliver oil to all of our allies is not a problem.  Iran is a bit player in the global oil market.   If you need a reason why Hillary would care about Assad, you need look no further than cash contributions by multiple Arab states to the Clinton Foundation.  It was never more important than just simple crass corruption.

Q. So they demonize Putin and try to tarnish the Trump administration?

A. The Deep State is at war with both Trump and Putin. Understand that when Israeli intelligence hears “America first” from Trump, they go apeshit. Israel has bribed, extorted and intimidated our politicians for decades and suddenly this upstart billionaire threatens to ruin everything.

That totally doesn’t matter.  All of those corrupted, extorted and intimidated politicians are still corrupted, extorted and intimidated.  None of them are off the hook.  If anything, Israel can turn this to their advantage.  They have a friend in high places in the USA again for the first time in 8 years.  That has got to count for something.   All any self-respecting Israeli bureaucrat needs to do going forward is cast everything they want as “good for America”.  This isn’t even hard.

Q. But Trump just met with Netanyahu and pledged the usual unbreakable bond with Israel.

A. Theatre.  Netanyahu is desperate to both play Trump into attacking Syria,and hate Putin, and to convince him PedoGate is a conspiracy theory.

I can’t imagine why Netanyahu would care about this either way.  Israel benefits from a strong and stable America just as much as America does.  He doesn’t benefit from emboldened Islamic rebels with recent combat experience.

My bottom line:  While there are very likely anti-Trump senior executives in the CIA and other intelligence community operations, they are not the whole agency and do not speak for the whole agency.  They do not set the agenda for the agency, come up with the blueprints for how intelligence supports national power or pull any hidden strings.  They are employees and they can be fired.  The Trump administration is proving to be very skillful in finding these people at the State department, which is a MUCH more anti-Trump environment than the CIA and we are hearing stories now of “purges” and “catastrophic losses of irreplaceable experienced professionals”.  Everyone who works in the government can be fired.   Everyone.  It may take a while, but eventually, this president is going to get this government executing HIS agenda.
