Election trivia

Here is the picture Drudge is headlining today.

What I notice looking at this is everyone standing with their feet apart.  As a military guy, my heels are together when I stand at attention for ceremonial purposes.  It looks like they are saluting the flag during the national anthem.  It used to be the case when EVERY candidate had military service.  Now we are at the point where no candidates have.  Not all that important in the grand scheme of things.  The perfect future is one that does not remember war, so anyone who goes into the military in such a future is just playing soldier.  Such a person would not be suitable for high elected office.  I am not one of those people who thinks military service is essential for public office holders.  I have known too many self-serving imbeciles in uniform to grant them automatic virtue. And I have met too many “never served” men of good quality to dismiss that whole group.

It looks like the Democratic party herd is given the choice between the senile old coot and the lying corrupt old coot and choosing to vote for Trump.  The record high turnouts for republicans and record low turnouts for Dems must be related.  It’s not just Republicans being excited by The Donald.  It’s the Democrats too.

This leads me to call it for Trump.  Not Super Tuesday.  I am predicting Donald Trump will be the next President of the USA.  I am not saying that it will be such a bad thing.  We have been educated on what “bad” looks like during the last 7 years.  Trump can’t possibly be that bad. Under a Trump presidency I expect to see a return to the rule of law. I expect a real immigration reform that halts the wholesale flood we have experienced in the last 7 years and even expels many of those who were already permitted in.  I also foresee a real return to checks and balances.  Trump doesn’t have the support of either party establishment.  Thus the courts and congress will oppose everything he does and he will return the favor.  Less getting done in a good thing.

May God save the Republic and have mercy on us all.

I’m willing to bet that very few of those Democrats turning out for Trump in open primary states will be pulling the R lever on election day in November. Trump will not win a general election against either the felon or the socialist.
